Scenes and the editor

A video is a sequence of scenes, each with a duration and a transition in (cut, fade, slide, wipe, zoom, blur or tear). Select a scene in the strip to see its fields: texts, numbers, colours, images, toggles and lists. Changing a field updates the preview instantly and costs nothing.

In a text field, select words and press ⌘/Ctrl + B to set them in the accent colour.

Describe a change in plain words: “shorter”, “make the number bigger”, “add a scene with our partners”. The selected scene and the playhead go along as context, and the answer lands as a new version in the preview.

When the chat only changes field values, it is free. When it rewrites the animation, it uses one of the chat edits your plan includes on each video; past them, one credit buys 10 more on that video.

The right-hand panel has five tabs:

• Fields: the values of the selected scene, or of the whole video.
• Brand: this video's colours, fonts, corner radius and motion, with the kit one click away.
• Audio: music, voice-over and sound effects.
• Captions: style, position and which formats they are burned into.
• Variants: A/B hooks and translations.

Captions come in five styles (words, lines, karaoke, highlight and minimal) or none, at the top, middle or bottom, or placed automatically per format. They follow the voice-over word by word when there is one; otherwise they are timed from each scene's text. New videos burn them into 9:16 and 1:1 only.

Add an AI voice-over, with a line per scene and a voice from the library, on Creator, Pro, Crypto Pro and Agency. It comes with word-level timings, so captions follow it exactly. Music ducks under the voice automatically.

You can also clone a voice, with the speaker's recorded consent: 3 on Pro, 3 on Crypto Pro and 10 on Agency.

Music is generated for each video and cut to its scenes: an impact on each scene change and a rise before the reveal. There are 8 styles (calm, energetic, cinematic, chiptune, corporate, lofi, epic and minimal), each with an intensity and a Regenerate button for a new variation. You can upload your own track instead, or switch music off. Transition sound effects can be turned on or off.

The first seconds decide whether people keep watching. Variants → Hooks writes three different openings of the same video (A, B and C), each as its own video with its own share link, so you can post them side by side and compare their views. Making the three counts as one generation.

Translate a video into another language as a new video next to the original: every word a viewer reads or hears, with links, handles, tickers and accented words kept. Available on Pro, Crypto Pro and Agency, in 14 languages:

English, Romanian, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Arabic captions run right to left. A translated video needs a new voice-over, since the old recording no longer matches.

Every change is saved as a version you can go back to. Press ⌘/Ctrl + S to save a named one. Press C to leave a comment at the playhead; teammates reply in the thread.
