Formats and safe areas
16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5 from one video, and where text is kept safe.
Every video lays itself out for all four formats. Nothing is cropped: the composition re-flows for each shape, and you export any or all of them from the same version.
The four formats#

The short side is always 1080 logical pixels, so type and spacing read the same in every format. 720p and 4K exports are the same layout, scaled.
Safe areas#
Text and key visuals stay inside a safe area. In 9:16 it leaves room for the TikTok, Reels and Shorts interface at the bottom and on the right. The layout check warns when text crosses it and fails a scene when text is cut off by the frame.

Previewing formats#
In the editor, press 1 to 4 to switch between 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5, or 0 to see all four side by side. Captions are burned into 9:16 and 1:1 by default and left off the others; you can change that per format in the Captions tab.
